Refund & Cancellation Policy

This explains how Pit Lane Legends memberships (“Pit Pass”) are billed, how to cancel, and when you can get a refund. It applies alongside our Terms of Service.

How billing works

Each paid tier is a subscription that renews automatically every month at the then-current price until you cancel. The price and the total you'll be charged are shown on the Shop and on the secure Stripe checkout page before you confirm. A one-time gift membership is a single payment and does not renew.

Cancelling

You can cancel anytime — open Manage membership in the Shop, which takes you to Stripe's billing portal. Cancellation stops the next renewal. You keep your membership benefits until the end of the period you've already paid for, and you won't be charged again. We don't charge a cancellation fee. We don't normally refund the remaining days of the current month (no pro-rata), except where the law gives you a refund right (below).

EU/UK 14-day right of withdrawal

If you live in the EU or UK, you generally have 14 days to withdraw from a new subscription for any reason. A membership is digital content you can use straight away. You lose that 14-day right only if, at checkout, you expressly ask us to start the service immediately and acknowledge that doing so means you lose the right of withdrawal once performance has begun (EU Consumer Rights Directive Art. 16(m) / equivalent UK rules). We record that request and acknowledgement at the point of sale; if you do not give it, your 14-day right is unaffected and you can withdraw for a full refund.

  • If you withdraw before the service has started, you get a full refund.
  • If you've already started using it within the 14 days and then withdraw, we may refund an amount in proportion to what you haven't used, where the law requires.
  • To withdraw, email webshop@mdesigns.dk within 14 days (a clear statement is enough; you don't have to give a reason). You can simply write to us, or use the model withdrawal form below.

You may, but don't have to, use this standard EU model withdrawal form (EU Consumer Rights Directive, Annex I(B)). Copy it, fill it in, and send it to us by email at webshop@mdesigns.dk.

Refunds

Outside the withdrawal right above, memberships are generally non-refundable once a billing period has started, because the benefits are available immediately. We'll always honour your statutory rights, and we may give a goodwill refund at our discretion (for example a clear accidental or duplicate charge, or a service fault). Approved refunds go back to your original payment method via Stripe.

Coins & in-game items

Coins, parts and upgrades are not bought with real money and have no cash value, so they aren't refundable and can't be exchanged for money — see the Terms.

Billing problems & disputes

Please contact us first at webshop@mdesigns.dk — we can usually sort out a billing issue faster than a card dispute, and we'll cancel and refund a genuinely unauthorised or mistaken charge. If you bought a gift for a minor and want it stopped, contact us and we'll cancel it. If we can't resolve it, consumers can use an out-of-court scheme: in Denmark, the Danish Competition and Consumer Authority's Center for Klageløsning / Forbrugerklagenævnet (forbrug.dk); consumers elsewhere in the EU can use their own national consumer authority.
